These drawings were instigated by some crayon drawings I made for fun with my son one day when he was about 5. He was really into "The Wizard of Oz" at the time, so we were drawing scarecrows. This assortment was inspired by Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, masks from different cultures and periods, the giant Marlboro Man billboard that used to stand near the Detroit Metro Airport, and the art of Roger Brown.
